Installing RB on a loaded up Toshiba F10

(1/1)

cryincoyote:
OK, I have copied all my music files from the "Music" folder and "My Music" folder in the Gigabeat to a folder on my desktop (while it was in the cradle).  So before I install RB, should I delete the contents of Music and My music folders while in straight USB connection / no cradle? Install RB, then drag and drop the desktop files into the gigabeat folders using straight USB connection or cradle?  Hard drive is 9.3gb used.

Also, should I do the minimal or complete install... what is the difference?  thanks, tc

Chronon:
Yeah, go ahead and delete the media that's on the player now.

Rockbox Utility explains the difference between minimal and complete installations.  I would opt for the complete installation for a first-time install.

Once Rockbox is installed, you can connect via USB and transfer whatever media you like to the player.  You can either connect the cable directly to the player or use the dock.

I installed Rockbox on the toshiba f10 without problems, but uninstalled it and reinstalled the Gigabeat ver. 3 so I could copy all my 9gb of music files to my desktop without the .sat extension.    (to add back in later)

Next, deleted all music files from gigabeat.  Then did an automatic complete install of Rockbox from Rockbox Utility.

Now it will not boot into Rockbox, only gigabeat.    Now what do I do?
