I have tried a 64 GB SDXC with a SD-to-microSD adapter in the Sansa Fuze v2 and got it working.
Future 64GB microSDXCs should work as well as long as they are compatible with the 3.0 specification. There is a caveat however, it's not enough to format the SDXC card with FAT32, the partition type in the MBR must be changed as well otherwise the player won't recognize the card.

The card worked in Rockbox and the OF. Here's the link to the description how I managed to get the 64 GB SDXC working in my Cowon X5 and the post also contains the steps you have to take to make it useable in the Fuze and other devices:
