But wont the paths/directories be different for the computer and the Fuze?
i mean on my computer, i generate this Genius Playlist through iTunes, and export it. Would just copying these M3U playlists to the player work?

gbl08ma:
AFAIK Genius playlists as Apple made them, are more than just a M3U file, IDK if they can be saved to a M3U.
Perhaps, you'll have to save in Apple's own playlist format, discover where the playlist file is, copy it, and convert it to M3U (this because I don't think that iTunes uses M3U as default... if it uses or supports, then my reputation of Apple just got a +1 to add to the -370 rating count :D)

hey gbl08ma,
these Genius Playlists can be made in iTunes, and then exported as M3U files anywhere we want to.
but saratoga said just copy the M3Us to the player, and that doesnt work, so i guess i would have to delete the Default library i have in iTunes and use the sings on my player as the library in iTunes.so that way, the exported M3U files will be linked to the songs on my player and not on my Computer.
any better way to do this???
Post Merge: February 09, 2011, 07:02:14 AMHey guys
i followed the following procedure:
deleted my default itunes library (based on songs from my HardDisk), connected the sansa and made my sansa as the library in itunes, then updated genius, made a playlist (Genius Playlist), tried playing songs from it, and they played fine.i happily exported the plalist to M3U, and pasted it into my player
but when i try to play the songs, its empty all the time (both in OF and RockBox)
hpw do i do it then?

It may be related to http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,27186.0.html . How do first few lines of your playlist look alike if opened with notepad? It may be the issue with absolute/relative pathnames.
Post Merge: February 09, 2011, 11:52:18 AMAs far as I understand it, playlists are read as is. It would be nice for windows users if possible disc name would be trimmed on-the-fly thus making possible to use playlists with absolute paths in them (of course if they are still on the same media, e.g. internal/external flash).

Hey psgarcha92,

on the "play all files shuffled problem", check:

http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,25125.0.html

I personally navigate to the top directory ("MUSIC" in my case, where I stored all the music) and select "Play Next" in the context menu of the folder.

Greetings,

c_k
