Sony ICF-CS10iP "Dream Machine" Rockbox?
(1/1)

hi
i just got this today and discovered that it isn't fully compatible with this fm/am clock radio/ipod dock. i can play rockbox on it if i use the buttons on the actual ipod. i know that i obviously can't use this product fully with rockbox regarding the menus. i can't get it to play the normal way which is using the play and skip track buttons on this actual Sony product itself. so because of that i can't use the alarm to wake up to ipod feature on this Sony product with Rockbox. which is a real letdown to me. cause i would've liked to hear some of my flac albums to wake up to using that feature. This product I believe came out in 2009. I figured before buying this product that it would be supported by now. This Sony product seems to be popular based on what I've read and observed. Can anyone tell me if there is any talk of plans to get this compatible or is it even possible? Please let me know. I think it would be a big download hit (i'm assuming it would require a Rockbox firmware update) if someone made it compatible.
If this is in the wrong area to post this I am sorry. I assumed it was.
Any helpful info regarding this topic would be extremely appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!

You figured that based on the age of the device? You probably ought to have researched it more thoroughly before buying.
Having said that, there is an option for Apple Accessory Protocol (I think that's the name) so have a read of the manual and see if that helps at all.

Post Merge: February 08, 2011, 01:39:19 PMi just checked and i couldn't find the manual. can you please direct me to the Apple Accessory Protocol manual? also so you know i have ipod video 5th generation. thought that would maybe help you or anyone else who tried to answer my original question about Sony ICF-CS10iP.

I meant that the iPod Video manual will have the setting for AAP (Actually it's referred to as 8.5.7 Accessory Power Supply).
