32gb MicroSD HC - works with Sansa E200v1?
bobbydriver:
Has anyone tested out the new 32gb MicroSD HC cards on Sansa E200v1 player
eg
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-00104374-microSDHC-32GB-Card/dp/B003HIWHN0
I don't want to fork out that sort of cash to find it's incompatible.
I have a 16gb Sandisk card and it works just fine, but double the capacity is very tempting!
bluebrother:
The SDHC specification specifies cards up to 32GB. If the card is according to the specification it works. It not, then maybe. There is really no (technical) reason why a 32GB card shouldn't work. Besides, the 32GB limit in the specification is (at least from my understanding) completely arbitrary, they could support even bigger cards without problems. But that might cause people not wanting to upgrade to the next newer greater and cooler version of the standard ...
No, I haven't tested such a card. I'm still pretty sure it will work.

For what it is worth, I have a SanDisk 32GB working in my Fuze v2. But, only Rockbox will read all of it properly.

In case anyone is searching for the definitive answer.
YES
I bought the Sansa 32GB micro SDHC card from Amazon and it works perfectly in my E200 v1.
I’m soooo happy! Doubled my capacity!
