Clip+ microSD card playlist problem

(1/2) > >>

clipper:
I transferred some playlists to my 8 GB MicroCenter microSDHC card via Media Monkey.  My clip+ displayed both 'music' and 'playlists' files that were created but was unable to load any playlists.  It either displayed an error message trying to read the card, got stuck while displaying 'loading' or just kicked me back out to the sd card menu.  However, it played the songs in the 'music' file without a problem.

The card seems to be fine.  I've used it in my cell phone and the playlists load without a hitch in media monkey on my laptop.

Anyone have a similar problem?

Chronon:
When you say 'playlists' and 'music' files, are you actually referring to directories?  Are your playlists in .m3u format?

It may be noteworthy that you observe inconsistent behavior.  What exactly is the error message that you get?

mlt:
I guess it may be related to relative/absolute paths. Check the content of your playlists in notepad or something.

Don't know what you mean by directories.  From the main menu of rockbox I'll select:
Files  =>  <microSD1>  =>  Playlists

Yes, they are .m3u playlists.

The error message reads "Error reading playlist"

Chronon:
So you are, in fact, talking about a file named "playlists.m3u"?
