Flashing back and forth track time on Sansa E200

The current playing time (%pc) is flashing back an forth on my Sansa E200 v1 with the theme "SMART". The tag is placed only once in the .sbs file.
The back and forth flashing happens only on the "While playing screen". If I remove the peak meter from the wps the flashing stops.

I am looking for some suggestions if this can be worked around or is some sort of a problem.

What build of Rockbox are you using? A daily/revision build, a release (like 3.6, 3.7, 3.7.1), or a custom build (compiled by yourself)?

If it is a build taken from "current build" section, try to update to the latest one and see if it still happens.

IMO this is a bug, either in the theme (that isn't defining the tag properly), on the theme parser, or on the code that passes to the theme the currently playing time.

It happens with all builds after and including 3.7.1 . Last build r29194-110202 also has the problem.

Also it happens only if "while playing" screen is using the status bar (that contains the %pc) defined in the sbs ( by using %we, although removing %we from wps does not seem to have any effect). Other themes that display %pc only in the wps do not seem to suffer from this issue.

It happens always only during normal play in the wps screen. PAUSE/FF/REV do not cause or affect the problem in any way. It seems to be aggravated by the fast refresh rate imposed by the peak meter.
