Sansa E200 shuts down when headphone plug is bumped==> Fixed
« on: February 02, 2011, 01:14:30 PM »
This was an odd problem that I searched for a bit and didn't find much.  In addition to immediately shutting off when the headphone plug was pushed back slightly (facing the front), when powered back up, the player would resume earlier than the point at which it stopped.

I've never had a problem with the headphone jack losing signal. This E260 V1 was bought as a refurb about 3 years ago, and judging by the resoldered jack, that was likely its original problem. I took it apart, treated the daughterboard connector with Caig ProGold (pen), reassembled it and the problem is no more.
