Archos Jukebox FM Recorder

I have tried to install the latest release for the FM Recorder. It is presently running RB 2.5.

Although the installation runs through smoothly, the machine always starts with 2.5 running. I cannot see how to boot the new version.

Perhaps your 2.5 version was originally flashed into ROM? See the manual for details of how to flash the new version into ROM. (Sections 12.4 & 12.5 in particular.)

Exactly. I was able to boot into 3.1.7 by powering on with F1 pressed. Then I downloaded the flash files and flashed to 3.2. The box now works perfectly -- except the battery is near death.

I hate to butt in here, but the current stable version of Rockbox is 3.7.1. 3.2 is quite outdated now, and there was never a 3.1.7 version.

I probably got my fingers tangled up when I typed 3.1.7. I'm a two-finger typist. However 3.2 is what the Jukebox now says when it boots with the flashed rom. Perhaps I should try again, although I don't know why with the 5 minute battery it now has. I'll probably just move on to my iRiver H120.

Too much work and no play makes me a dull boy.
