Rockbox truncating FLAC titles on iPod

(1/1)

propagationofsound:
I am running Rockbox version r29009M-110108 on iPod Classic 6g.
When playing FLAC files with the title containing a hyphen, For example:
"Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68: I. Un poco sostenuto - Allegro"
becomes just:
"Allegro"
Another example:
"Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68: IV. Finale: Adagio - Allegro ma non troppo"
becomes just:
"Allegro ma non troppo".
This only happens with titles that have a hyphen in them. Is this a bug, or just me forgetting something?

Thanks in advance.

Lear:
The metadata reader doesn't do anything like that, at least. Have you checked the title tag in a tag editor?

Where does it happen? WPS? Database browser? Tag info screen?

propagationofsound:
The tag is correct in Easytag, all the various media players I've tried, Nautilus 'properties' window.
I've tried re-copying the files across, retagging the files etc etc. But this is a systematic error across all of the files which have a hyphen in. Other non-alphanumeric characters are fine (colon, slash etc).
Happens in all three of the situations you mention there.

Buschel:
I just tried to add "Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68: I. Un poco sostenuto - Allegro" as title to one of my flacs -- using Mp3Tag. It works fine and does not truncate anything (sim and iPod Video).

propagationofsound:
Sorry, but it seems to be my fault entirely. Just checked the output of metaflac for the offending files. Seems Easytag has separated the title up into two tags. So I can't really fault rockbox for picking only one of them.
