Power Button holding time
(1/1)
ultr:
Hello,
I own Sandisk Sansa Fuze v2 and with RockBox 3.7 installed.
When I want to turn the player off, I have to hold the Power Button for about 2 or 3 seconds to initiate shutdown.
The OF starts shutting down after holding Power Button for even lesser then 1 second.
Could this holding time be configurable?
I would even prefer to have an option to set the this time to 0 and be able to shutdown the player immediately.
Regards,
JdGordon:
the power button is used as a modifier (so it can be used in a combo with other buttons) so to make sure doing that doesnt accidentally trigger a shutdown we keep the longer timeout.
There isnt really much need for the power button anyway, if you enable "idle shutdown" then just stop playback and forget about the dap...

I use this player in my car while driving and I rarely look at the screen. So it is much easier for me to just push the power button to turn the player off.
I didn't even know it is a modifier, so I wouldn't miss this feature ;) Being able to configure things is always good. You can even imagine a disabled person wanting to make this time longer, so they can use power button as a modifier.
Anyway, thanks for your reply.

simple, use the car charger and then just ignore it when you turn the car off.... when the engine starts it will turn on and when the playlist stops it will turn off

Hi,
i have the opposite problem. I have Sansa Clip+ with rockbox 3.9.1. It turns on when i just click to power button. I will turn it on after holding power button about 2 seconds - like original firmware. Is some way to set this time?
Thanks
