sansa fuze installed but not running
« on: January 28, 2011, 02:42:07 PM »
I just bought version one sansa fuze, I had used rockbox on my sansa e250 and oved it but a couple of months ago it had a very great fall onto hard pavement. Anyway I installed rockbox and set usbmode to MSC. I diconnected and turned it of but then when i turn it on again its the regular OS. I have seen some posting on here about the same problem but I don't know what SVN or ristrbi(something like that) is.

I should mention that al of the files (in regard to rockbox) appear to be on the fuze

Is there a simple no SVN solution

I just realised rubti was an abreviation for rockbox utility, I used that, I had no trouble installing rockbox on my e250, I used the complete installation.

Can you try again, and this time before rebooting your player confirm that a firmware bin file is created on your player?  Then reboot and see if it is deleted by the OF?

No ones answering... :-[ maybe I should be more specific...   I had done nothing to my fuze before trying rockbox on it, I believe there was either a problem installing the bootloader or more likely the original OS on it is dominant, thanks in advance  :).

Because alll the rockbox files seem to be in memory...

This probably means you don't have a v1 fuze.  What firmware version is on there now?

Thanks, you have given me hope, how many versions of the fuze are there I tried with V2 and it did not work so im assuming I have V1. OH! I just realized, I originally checked and from the serial number it looked like I had a sansa V2, then i downloded firmware
and tried it but it said "OF file provided is fuze V1 o1.01.15A" now I realize maybe i had the sansa V2 but downloaded version 1 as a firmware... I will keep you posted...
