RU: autodect shuts RU down.

For some weird reason, when I pick the RU to search for a clip+, and then press autodetect, it automatically shuts down and windows shows me a box saying "Rockbox Utility has stopped working"

I tried manual installation but I'm a beginner at this so I don't wanna take any risks.. Help me please?

Please post the output of the About / Troubleshoot / System Trace dialog.

The manual has help how to install manually. If you don't have a specific question it's impossible to help except for writing the same that is written in the manual.
