Problems With Russian Fonts on Sansa Clip+
(1/1)
Dmitry:
Hi to everyone! I've got this problem using H12 Theme.
This is my favourite theme. But it doesn't display Russian font correctly at the WPS. First it didn't display neither artist nor song name. Then I got to Display settings- Default codepage - Cyrillic. After that it started to display only artist correctly but not the song name. When I switch it to the other theme, for exemple to CLASSIC. Everything works fine. It seems like problem only with the certain font. And one more thing when I browse files via rockbox browser it displays everything correctly. And when I browse the same files via DATABASE it doesn't display russian characters. So how can I change just the song name font in this H12 theme. And leave everything rest the same? I hope that I've explained it clearly.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe it'll help to somebody.
Fixed it by getting into .cfg file of the H12 theme and manually changed font was used for track name to the equal font used for artist name.

Not all fonts contain all glyphs. This chart should give you an idea of glyph coverage for various Rockbox fonts.

hey i made that theme! thanks!
H12 stands for Helvetica 12 point font. They are hard coded into the wps file. You can edit the file to change the font to suite your needs. Unfortunately Helvetica-12 has a very limited character set.
The theme was more of an experiment in a balanced & simple style using an attractive font. Changing the font kinda defeats the theme's intent.
Anyways, I'm glad you like it. And I'm glad all you had to change was the Title font.
