Here is some description:
http://www.medion.de/md81488/sued/noflash.htmlThis device has a "Cornice" 8GB hard disc. The hard disc is broken, so I cannot boot from it any longer.
If I start it, it says "Initializing..." this is it. It does this with the hard disc plugged in and without it. It does this if the akku is pluged it, and also when connected to an USB-Port (without the akku).
Since it is using the TCC 770, I was hoping you could help me out.
I read somewhere that the TCC770-SoC contains some flash. Is this correct? And I could imagine that a basic bootloader is on that flash. Is this correct?
So maybe this bootloader is already configured in a manner, that it tries to boot from USB (per TFTP?) if no hard disc is present. Or I would have to switch this on (how?).
If however it already tries to boot from USB, I need something to give him to boot. I'm going to need an essential system already compiled for this. I see there are quite many Devices using TCC770. Also, some basic howto proceed would be appreciated.
I think your tool already does this, but it is locked. So if it doesn't detect a known device, it doesn't do anything. I do not want to flash anything, I want to offer it a firmware or something it can boot (per tftp?).
I tried to register for the wiki, but ... And i cannot attach a bad quality picture it here (2Mib).
