Fuze complete install success, but...

After carefully following directions in the manual and after hours of brave trial and error,  I tried once again, a complete automatic install of rb on my FuzeV2, 02:03:33, s/n: BH1009CBDK and the  installer stated it was successful, but... It's Nowhere to be found :( I tried supposedly successfully to re-install it 3 times to no avail.
One thing I notice is that when I choose to safely eject the Fuze, the player still shows: Connected. So, thinking that was the problem before, it not being safely shut down after all, I shut down the laptop thinking that would automatically safely shut down the player... still, no sign of rb on my player.

I think the player shows that until you disconnect it.  I don't think theres any good way for a player to know that you've ejected it in Windows.

All the installer does is copy a firmware update to your player.  Then when you disconnect the player uses that firmware update to install rockbox.  Does the firmware file you gave rockbox utility end up on your player after you install?

This is a continuation of the post I made earlier in the day regarding my supposed successful rb install to my Fuze. I neglected before to notice that the firware 02:03:33 is not completely correct. The completely correct firmware version is: O2:03:33A[/u][/color]. I guess this may make a big difference in whether my install becomes a reality on my Fuze. Thing is, I can't find any info on the Rockbox website about this.

No it doesn't matter.

The Installation Progress as it progresses ;D indicates that the installation finished successfully, then continues to download the extras...finally the theme file, then finally says the install is completely successful. When I look through Windows Explorer, I see fuzpa.bin in the fuze (I), so yes, but I've not yet disconnected the Fuze player. I'm hesitant to do so because I noticed in the past that fuzpa.bin disappears when I turn it back on and when I reconnect to pc, it has disappeared! Also, when I try to open fuzpa.bin, Windows says it can't open it and suggests I search the internet for a way to open it.
Post Merge: January 17, 2011, 05:21:13 PMIs fuzpa.bin the updated firmware file you mentioned that I should find on the Fuze? Fuzpa.bin is the only file I find in Fuze (drive letter (I).
Post Merge: January 17, 2011, 05:58:14 PMOkay, after seeing that fuzpa.bin was in the Fuze (drive letter (I) I disconnected it and when I turned it on, just the ordinary UI was in evidence. Then I rehooked the Fuze to pc to see if fuzpa.bin was there: NO! There is, I noticed, a file called: version.sdk. That wouldn't be it, would it?
