Sansa Clip+ : no Rockbox folder when connected as MSC; music not showing up
(1/1)
maryalesia:
In the manual, it says that to put music on the sansa clip you just drag and drop, and that it is strongly reccommended that you put the music in the folder labeled "rockbox". I have installed rockbox, but no such folder shows up, and none of the music in my music folder shows up on my player when I load into the rockbox firmware.
What do I do??
AlexP:
It is strongly recommended NOT to put it in the .rockbox folder. Please point me at anywhere that says the opposite and I'll fix it.
When you are copying music to the clip+ make sure you are using MSC mode for USB (it is a setting in the Sansa firmware). If you are using a unix like OS, then you cannot see the .rockbox directory as it starts with a full stop "." and so is hidden.
Chronon:
The music folder used by SanDisk's firmware might be hidden. To see it in the file browser you would need to set the Show Files setting to "All".
If you use the database it should index all of the files on the internal storage as well as any that may exist on a microSD card. How are you trying to view your music?
