Change buttons in rockbox iPod nano 2gen?

How i can have, if possible, use the buttons originary in the os apple with rockbox? sorry for my bad english but i'm a italian guy

you have this issue, I mean the keys. For example, the menu button to go back and not the middle. Another thing is the sound it makes when you scroll through songs, is it possible?

To remap the buttons, you'll have to edit the source code and roll your own build with the changes you want.

The sound is a piezoelectric speaker in the iPod, but Rockbox doesn't have a driver for this yet.

Our goal is not to reproduce the original firmware, so we map buttons according to what is useful/logical, not their original functions (with some attempt to be consistent between different rockbox players).

I'm agree with you, just the only things that I liked in the original os were the clik in the scrolling menu, the key mapping and the quicly off iPod. For the rest nothing to say. It's a VERY GOOD software

You should note the the Apple OF doesn't actually turn off, it merely "hibernates" and is still using battery while in this state.

You need to leave a non-Rockboxed iPod for a substantial period of time before it will go into it's "deep sleep" mode.
