If Windows Media player uses standard .m3u playlist files, then you should be able to.
Open up the playlist in a text editor and look at where it says the music is - does that actually match where the music is on your player?

I think I must have been mistaken about the playlists showing up. I don't see them at all after syncing. So I guess it doesn't work to sync playlists at all.
