SVN connection timeout
Progweed:
Dear Rockbox community:
This has been asked before, but unfortunately I was unable to find an answer to my problem by using the search function.
I'd like to compile my own build and installed the VMware Development Platform as outlined in the Wiki here:
http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/VMwareDevelopmentPlatform
I'm running Windows 7.
Now, when I try to check out via SVN I receive a "connection timeout" everytime. I can ping svn.rockbox.org just fine.
I also tried setting the network card to Bridged instead of NAT, but then VMware tells me that "The network bridge on device VMnet0 is temporarily down because the bridged Ethernet interface is down..."
So, what should I do now?
(P.S.: I'm a newb concerning both SVN and VMWare.)
saratoga:
You're probably firewalling whatever port SVN uses.
Progweed:
I already verified that, and no, this is not the case.
saratoga:
How did you verify it?
Progweed:
VMWare Player is under "allowed programs" in the Windows firewall. Just to be sure I also opened port 3690. I even deactivated the firewall for testing purposes, but no luck.
