Ipod Nano 5th Generation 16GB
Xcellent:
Hello everyone,
I started a topic because i got a Ipod nano 5G 16GB (not to be confused with Ipod 5G video) and so I dont know if this is player is supported. I only see the Ipod nano 4G is supported, and since these 2 are almost the same i tried to use the 4G version but it doesnt work. (what an surprise :P )
Rockbox wont find the player when I try to install it automatically, when I selected the player it will install Rockbox but it wont install the Rockbox bootloader . And when I do it manually, Ipodpatcher wont reconize it aswell. :-[
Now if rockbox isnt stable or cannot be applied to this Ipod i will try another way to put 6GB of FLAC files on my Ipod. :P
Also, mabye its me but I dont see the Ipod classic (160GB) on it aswell, is this one also supported?
If someone can help me on this i would much appriciate it.

Neither the 4th nor 5th generation nanos are supported. The only nanos supported are the 1st and 2nd generation models.
The iPod Classic port is too early to be of any use for users. It's very slow and has a lot of issues to be sorted out first. It's therefore an "Unusable" port right now and is best left to developers.

Thank you for the quick reply. Is there any change that the 4th / 5th generation and the Classic will ever be supported in the future?

Yes theres a chance. Check the front page in 6 months and see if anyone has started working on it.

6 months? Why should we wait that long? I have been looking everywhere for the past 2 months to change the theme for my iPod Nano 5g. iPodWizard website stopped working so I no longer can get themes from there after I found out how to do it. >:(
