6 months? Why should we wait that long?
Well...are *you* going to do the work required?
Or are you simply going to continue to expect other people should have done things for you because you want it to be done, without first thinking of the monumental effort that goes into finding an exploit for these devices, let alone getting code to run, and even more so a fully functional third party OS like Rockbox?
The developers here work on what they want to work on, because they are interested in it personally, and on an entirely volunteer basis.
Each port also needs to be written essentially from scratch, while it it sometimes common that two devices will share some of the same hardware as devices with existing ports, there is always a lot of new (and undocumented) hardware to be tediously reverse engineered and understood, which takes a lot of time and effort, and more importantly a person or preferable several very dedicated persons, to do so.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but your post sounds as though you expect it to be done, without first thinking of the work that goes into it behind the scenes.
