Noooo hardware faliiture
« on: January 05, 2011, 11:26:12 AM »
I have a sansa e200 that i have been loving for the last 3-4 years.
The wheel is really touchy and sometimes randomly jumps from place to place.
The orignal O/S is even worse.
Is there a rockbox setting I can change? Can I crack it open and fix it?

Mine wasn't quite like that. But it helped.
I cleaned it, and it was still bad.
In the end (5 dissasembalys later) I had to bend the brush contacts much further out.
Also the white wheel seems to only go in 1 way. It will work the other way but it will be hard to turn.
I don't have that sprocket.
mine looks like
|||__button__|||
|||__wheel___|||
_...connector.._<<<<<has the brushes on them
__clip ring____
___contacts__

hope this helps someone in the future.

I have noticed small variations in construction too, between my e280 v1 and my daughter's e250 v1.

Is your wheel responding okay now?
