Battery capacity set by user
« on: January 04, 2011, 03:47:29 AM »
I suggest to make the battery capacity set by users. This will be very convenient for some mod-players.For example...my CF card iPod mini has 1500mah battery(800+700).And my SSD iPod classic has 1530mah(550+980).rockbox's battery capacity menu is too limited,if we can input it by ourselves,it can be very convient.

Settings - General Settings - System - Battery - Battery Capacity

If your device supports this, it will be there.

EDIT: Shit, sorry...I misread.

There shouldn't be anything stopping you from adding more options to the source and recompiling.
As I understand it though, setting the battery capacity isn't entirely useful.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

Not really. It's generally pretty inaccurate anyway, as battery wear and use conditions also affect it a lot.

Just to be clear: The percent remaining doesn't depend on this. Only when the time is displayed as hours and minutes remaining.
