See the sticky in this forum.
Edit: Although its been a while since I've heard someone try it on MacOS, so if it spits out an error report it here.

Setting up a build client on OS X is the same as setting it up on Linux. However, there are two small issues:
Not all toolchains build on OS X (at least on 10.6, can't tell about 10.5 and earlier). In my case I have arm-elf-eabi and mipsel-elf working. Those can be built using rockboxdev.sh. I know for sure about m68k-elf not building on 10.6.
rbclient.pl didn't retrieve the correct number of CPUs in the system. I've just fixed this (r29000) and it works fine for me on OS X 10.6. When setting up the client make sure to use the latest version of rbclient.pl.
