Trouble with last.fm function on Sansa Clip+
(1/1)
ZebTM:
Not really sure if this is the right forum for this, if not feel free to move it.
Anyway, I got everything installed correctly and set the last.fm function to yes and rebooted but it doesn't seem to be generating a log (or if it is I can't find it). At the very least, it's not in the "Internal memory" folder which is the highest folder up. I admit I don't really know what I'm doing so if "root" means something else let me know. Is there something obvious I'm missing here or something else I'm supposed to be doing? I waited to get my clip+ until rockbox was stable pretty much solely for scrobbling, so I'm more then a bit concerned.
if it matters, I'm "rebooting" by holding down power to turn off and then turning it back on. I'm not sure how else to do it. The "yes" setting remains selected upon coming back up however.
Thanks

How long are you waiting before checking for .scrobbler.log?
IIRC the spec says that a track can't be scrobbled until at least 50% of it has played.

I'm playing entire songs.
Strife89:
Are you attempting to locate the file on Rockbox itself or your computer?
You're correct about the location - it'll be in the root (the very beginning of the filesystem, in terms of folder location) of the device, with the filename ".scrobbler.log".
If you're trying to find it on Rockbox, check to make sure that the File Browser is set to show All Files, not just Supported.
If you're looking with a Linux computer, check to make sure your file browser shows hidden files.
If you're using Windows and Windows Explorer and you don't see it ... the file probably doesn't exist.
If you're on a Mac, I can't help you. ;)

Yep, I'm browsing with Windows with hidden files being shown. Any reason the file wouldn't be being generated?
Post Merge: December 26, 2010, 02:10:49 AMFigured it out. For some reason the Sansa side of things got changed back from MSP mode to autodetect, and changing it back to MSP let me see a lot more files including the scrobbler file.
Thanks for the help everyone
