i have a ipod 4g u2 20gb rockbox gives me an error bad checksum....

i have tried everything installing deleting reinstalling i made progress but now im just stuck i could not get the bootloader to download so i installed it from ipodpatcher but now im getting the error message....... cant load rockbox.ipod:bad checksum please some one help :/ this is really driving me up the wall thanks for all the help you guys give me in advance

Try the instructions in the "USB Connection" section at http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-ipod4g/rockbox-buildch2.html#x4-70002.1 (especially the second paragraph, which describes what to do if the standard procedures don't work). That should get you to the Apple Emergency Disk Mode (see also http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1363 for Apple's instructions about this).

As soon as you're there, you can use rockbox utility or ipodpatcher to uninstall the bootloader (or try to fix the rockbox installation)

The actual error you get seems to indicate that you got a rockbox.zip for the wrong model of ipod.

i did that its still not working and im sure of what i have its the u2 edition 20 gb and im clickn on the right one
