Browsing Database > Genre > [some genre]... add <All albums>

There's an <All tracks> browsing ability, I would assume mostly for people who want to play the whole genre shuffled.

I'd like the ability to see all albums within a genre, rather than having to go through the artist list to see albums.  It would be treated similarly as browsing from genre to artist is treated... If an album has just one track from a given genre, then when you drill down into the album it would only show the one track.

That's actually pretty painless.

All you have to do is make your own tagnavi_custom file to suit your needs.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

I don't see any way to do this through tagnavi_custom.  The <All Tracks> and <Random> menu entries are automatically added by Rockbox, not controlled by tagnavi.

I can create a 'Genres by Album' hierarchy if I want, but there doesn't appear to be any way to display the album artist along with the album name.  Having a huge list of albums sorted by album name is pretty close to worthless.  The same problem is evident with 'New Music', included with the base tagnavi - it's just a list of albums with no artist name.
