Compiling rockbox for Android (was: New ports tech support question)
« on: December 26, 2010, 06:07:59 PM »
I am no longer able to compile the android version. During the last month I was able to compile on my Ubuntu 9.04 system the android version. I have now updated rockbox from svn and now I get the error message "arm-linux-androideabi-gcc: not found" when running make. Has there something changed? Please help where I get this gcc version.

Download the new r5 NDK (and adjust ANDROID_NDK_PATH accordingly).

Thanks for the hint. I installed the new r5 NDK but now I have the problem that it says "version glibc_2.11 not found".
It seems that 2.11 is not available for ubuntu 9.04. Do you have any further hint where I could get glibc_2.11 (without upgrading ubuntu)?

Thanks a lot.

You can't easily upgrade glibc, it's a very integral part of the system. I suggest upgrading Ubuntu.

If that's impossible for you, you can try building glibc from the source code, but I don't know if it'll work or not.
