Pause between scrolling?

Continuous scrolling of long lines can be difficult to read.  Has anyone suggested adding an option to pause between each scroll repeat?  Using the 'Scroll Start Delay' as the pause period would work.

Using bidirectional scrolling isn't the answer, at least for me.  I find bidirectional scrolling to be annoying, so have it disabled.

yes, its been suggested and almost even got commited before the topic turned into a horrible mess....

Was it just that some didn't want it?  As an option it shouldn't be forced on anyone.  Or maybe there was resistance against adding another option?

I didn't read through the entire discussion, but the word 'pause' doesn't appear anywhere on the page.  Nor is there any reference to the start delay.

Yes, that was a feature request and we don't take feature requests any more.  It wasn't a patch or anything useful.
