Instead of static usb picture, a bigger charge status indicator that shows charge progress would be good. Currently bottom-right corner there is a tiny progress indicator which is hard to see.

Plus a big clock like this but more glossy would be better.

Actually would it be possible to have a skinnable "While Charging Screen" (WCS) or would that be overkill?

Probably from this development point every new feature request would be quite challenging.  ;)
