But I think they are only for non-Rhapsody versions of the player.

Can I use a Rhapsody firmware for the sansapatcher (method #1) method?

I tried method #2 (upgrade firmware then never select a language), but I never get a language selection screen (tried downgrading OF, and upgrading OF).

I went ahead and converted my e200R to a vanilla e200 using the instructions here:

Method #1 still doesn't work (tried several firmwares with sansapatcher, including the one pointed to by the FAQ).

On the up-side: running method #1 seems to reset the language selection screen even if not changing firmware versions.

It did work at one point, but it may have broken at some point after we got USB and people stopped using it.
