Keyboard patch

(1/1)

ogl:
Hi all,

I need some guidance.  I just noticed that a file called the "keyboardfont. patch" downloaded along with the rockbox install utility.  I already installed rockbox, but I neglected to install the keyboardfont.patch file.

I am guessing that this patch is to increase the font on the keyboard, but I am not sure and so I am hesitant to bring it into my fuze.  If my guess is correct, I would love to  have it.  I am getting old and my eyes are not what they used to be >:(

If it is indeed a Rockbox patch, I am right to assume that all I need to do is copy the file to the root directory of Rockbox, or do I have to put it in the Font folder.  I guess my question is what do I do with the keyboardfont.patch fifle?

Thank you

I have no idea where that file came from or what it does, but I guarantee none of your assumptions are correct.
A patch file changes the source code which you need to rebuild to have the patch applied.

Thank you!  I am very glad that I came here first before attempting to anything, some times a little knowledge can be dangerous.
Somehow that file ended up in the folder that I designated for the  Rockbox install utility, so I assumed it was part of it.

Thank you much!!
