Gigabeat F40 wont turn on

Hello, I just installed rockbox onto my gigabeat f40, and all was working fine, until i went to database, updated that and then rebooted the player. now i hold the power button, ive tried different combinations of buttons pressing and holding but i cant get the player to turn on. the charge symbol comes up but thats all i can get it to do. can anyone suggest what i should do with it?

Try cycling the battery switch and see if it will turn on.
