(1/1)

tar1583:
Hi ,
This is Tarun . I am willing to paricipate in development of plugins for the browsers as an Open Source Project. Can someone guide me through .I am motivated to write some good code and understand new requirements or adding new to previous plugins.
Can some1 let me know if i can contribute to their projects or if a new idea is their .
Where can i find the source code ??Does the development requires to be only on Linux/Unix or does it support both Windows and Linux Platform ??
I saw that SVN can be used to download the code but then which source code should i download ??
I would like to be an active member ??
Please send your replies to my mail id tar1583@gmail.com as well !!!!

AlexP:
Development can be done on whatever system you want as long as it has a text editor of some description, although compiling needs to be done on a linux like system.  Your best bet is either native linux, or on windows a linux VM.  You can also use cygwin if you want.

You can checkout the source from svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk

If you wish to participate, then take some time to familiarise yourself with the project, have a look at the website, the manual and the source code, then sign up for the roxkbox-dev mailing list, and join us in #rockbox on Freenode.

Have fun!

P.S. Please use real words such as "someone" and not "some1".

All you need to do to become an active member and developer here is to check out the source code, and find something you want to fix or improve. We have a bug tracker with over 200 open bugs you are welcome to start with :)
