Rockbox foobar playlist syncing

(1/2) > >>

DickChang:
Hi, I have a 5gen 60GB iPod video and I'm considering using Rockbox. My question is, is it possible to sync my playlists through foobar? What are some of the problems and solutions to using rockbox and foobar together, if there are any?

evilnick:
Playlists are just lists of files that Rockbox can play.

Foobar2000 uses standard .m3u (or .m3u8) playlists so as long as your playlists reference the same directory structure as used on your ipod then they would work with Rockbox too.

DickChang:
Does this imply that there is no plugin to automatically sync foobar with rockbox? I'd have to copy the music files over separately from the playlist files?

I have no idea if theres a way to do this with foobar.  Have you looked at their playlist plugins?  Perhaps one of them can generate playlists and copy them over with files.

DickChang:
Ok, thank you for the quick responses. I will look into this some more.
