FUZE v2 battery charger

(1/1)

Datman:
Hi,
I have connected a wall USB charger (only power, no data wires) to my Fuze v2 and left it overnight. When I have took the DAP I've realized that battery was weaker than before!

When I connected power the DAP was in off state, then it automatically powered up with the Sansa op. system. If I charge from a computer it works without any problem

If i manually power on the FUZE with the Rockbox op. system it charges regularly. Do I have ever  to turn on my DAP before charging the battery with a non communicating battery charger?... Uhmm...

Do you think I have to do some further tests?...

Chronon:
So, you're describing a bug in SanDisk's firmware (or bootloader) that prevents efficient charging from a wall charger?

Reading that USB support in the current Rockbox firmware for the Fuze v2 was disabled, I thought that also meant charging over USB.  Does this mean that it does support charging, just not data operations?

Yes, charging and USB are unrelated.
