FUZE v2 Wheel/pushbuttons exchange
« on: December 10, 2010, 08:15:03 PM »
Hi, what do you think about two options (in FM and in DAP) to exchange wheel / Left&Right pushbuttons?

In FM the wheel would change frequency up/down or preset channel; Left&Right p.b.: volume -/+

in DAP the wheel would go FF/REW; Left&Right p.b.: volume -/+.

i second this
it would be way easier to use that way
but when on the menus keep it the same
the wheel is so much more useful to scrol through songs then to change volume

That's right.
I was talking about an option Yes/No to exchange wheel/pushbuttons in DAP and another to do the same in FM radio, but be aware: wheel is very sensitive, then it could be moved accidentally.

I can see the utility of this. But actually I am mostly interested in being able to use the wheel for ff/rew.

What I would like to see is a mode change like the ipod has, where you would push the select button to switch the wheel's function between volume, ff/rew, and no-op. The third position would be a great addition for me - it would prevent accidental volume changes or ff/rew that happen so easily with this scroll wheel, but still allow manual skip between tracks (so I could put the player in my pocket and quickly reach in to skip a song I didn't want to hear, or pause, but not change volume accidentally).
