Changing Fonts on Graphic Equalizer
« on: December 09, 2010, 07:54:05 PM »
The Graphic Equalizer is awesome - thanks to all the developers! :)

Is it possible to change the EQ screen font to something larger as the default super tiny font is unreadable for me even with reading glasses on the Sansa Fuze v.2.

I already use a larger system font but it has no effect on the Graphic EQ or the text editor.

Thanks! :)

The text editor will use the user font (the one set by the theme or manually by the  user) instead of the tiny system font if you load a custom keyboard layout.

Unfortunately, I know of no way to change the font used by the graphic EQ.

Chronon:  Thank you  :)

I downloaded the engspa.kbd file and placed it in the .rockbox folder per instructions from the Loadable Keyboard Layouts page, however I still see the original (built-in) keyboard layout and the fonts remain tiny (see pic here: http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/3240/sansafuzetinyfonts.png).

I already had set my own system font under Theme settings/Font to a larger one which works on System Menus and most screens.

I am new with RB, but slowly learning. Any advice on getting this to work is welcome.

Thank you JdGordon  :)

This is one case where size really does matter.

We also need to update it to have a better touch screen interface, and maybe even to show what the EQ curve looks like as you adjust it :)

dforionstar,

You need to "run" the .kbd file.

Navigate to it from the File Browser (you may need to change your "Show Files" setting to let you view the .rockbox directory) and simply select it, this will load the new keyboard.

Thanks [St.] :) Got it and it is better!

Now if only we could achieve larger fonts for the Graphic EQ.
