Sansa Clip - How Can I hide Files like the demo musica
coquito222:
Hi everybody, I have a sansa clip v2 and I want to hide the mp3 files for nobody can see them with the explorer, just like the demo music of the device. Somebody can help me?
Thanks
saratoga:
Depends what you mean by "hide".
You can remove them from the database using the database.ignore file (see manual's database section).
You can hide them from the file browser by marking the folder they're in as "hidden" and then setting rockbox to not show hidden files (see manual).
coquito222:
OK,
First of all I want do this, having the original firmware in my sansa. When I say hide, I mean, that I want to have the mp3 files active to play in the sansa, but if you connect the device to the PC, and navegate the folders with the explorer, you can't cut, copy, delete and modify and neather you can't see them. The files would be ghost. There are some demo music when you buy the sansa, that you haven't got access by the explorer, I want to put mp3s in the sansa and do the same.
tpijag:
Are you sure you have no access to these sansa demo files?
It sounds like you simply have your windows explorer set to not show hidden files. As mentioned above, have all your music files marked as hidden. You can then tell rockbox to show hidden files and keep windows explorer set at it's default to not show hidden.
hope that helps

At the moment Rockbox USB mode is disabled on the ClipV2, so really you're asking how to make the Sandisk OF hide files then. That doesn't really have anything to do with rockbox, and I have no idea if its possible.
