Questions about Theme Database post 3.7 release

*It seems to me that this would be the right place for this kind of post, sorry if im wrong*

Hey !
I just recently updated rockbox 3.6 to 3.7 on my Sansa E250, and when i re-downloaded themes i noticed that some of them are missing from the selection list on rockbox utility ...
i later understood that rockbox went through some changes and all themes need to be revamped for 3.7 from now on ...

The thing is i, for instance really liked to use the theme Zune V3.0 and after i updated my version i could no longer use it ... i dont like to fall behind ; i believe updates are important and necessary but at the same time i would love to use my old favourite parts im familiar with .

I dont have any programming background, i dont know how to update a theme myself, i tried to contact theme creators and ask them if they can update and keep their creations alive - but some of them are no longer available .. some of them quit working on rockbox (like Zune V3.0 creator)
so i dont know what to expect and what to do in this situation ...

My main question is .. are there any developers or artists that gradually working on updating the whole theme database to work on 3.7 and further on .. or some themes will be forever lost now ?

Thanks for the answer, im sure other rockbox users would appreciate it too :)

Llorean:
Anyone can update the themes. This is a good opportunity to get involved - themes are written in their own language which can be learned relatively quickly. Many people who work on themes have never programmed a day in their lives. You could update the theme and upload a fixed version.

Well im willing to give it a try and learn how to update a theme, but please keep in mind that you'll have to explain it to me like you would've explain it to a caveman ... with step arrows and stuff > you know :)

I think these are the changes in question:

Not sure about exact steps, but probably something like 'find the lines that have commands that changed' and then 'change them'.

WOW .. i dont think i could do it manually ('find the lines that have commands that changed' and then 'change them'.)
im looking at those lines and i dont see any difference .. first of all how do i even approach it ? how do i open the theme and change it ? is there a certain tool to do that ?
i saw in the link a tool mentioned named "skinupdater", what exactly its purpose ? can he detect the changes automatically or something like that ? ... right now this stuff looks beyond me :(
