how do I access that?

I know about USB-mode, but not diagnostic...

Chronon:
This should work:

http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/index.shtml

bobdotexe:
ok, I ran diagnostic, and chkdsk /r (windows 7 {as admin});
CHKDSK got to "verifying free space";
then it said "unspecified error has occurred"
Maybe, I should clone my iPod, and do a (non-quick)Format;
