Lost auto resume - please help!!

(1/1)

Swell:
PLEASE IGNORE - I just sorted it out:

Settings > General Settings > System > Start Screen > Resume Playback

Sorry if I wasted anyone's time!

I've been using  Rockbox on my iriver H120 for about 5 years with no issues at all - until now!

My player always automatically resumed playback from the exact place it was when switched off, but this has just stopped happening.  I did switch to a different theme, and it seemed to happen after that, but that shouldn't have caused this issue.  I've tried upgrading to the latest 3.7.1 version and tried different themes, but no joy.

It's a bad one cos that 'one button to get it going' is a pretty key feature for me as I use it mostly in the car.

How can I reactivate the auto resume function?

I was just going to tell you to check the auto-resume option as I had the idea there was one under Playback Settings, but I just went there and it seems there is none. Either I am wrong with my original idea, or this option was removed.
However, my iPod still resumes the track it was playing before, but only if we enter the WPS (no automatic resume when turned on if that's what you're talking about). I can't really find the option to automatically resume playing on startup.

I resolved the issue - check my original post which includes the menu settings.  Not sure if it's the same for an iPod though.  I did see some posts covering that though so it's worth doing a forum search.  Like this one:

It's worth doing, especially if you just want to carry on listening from where you left off.  In the car I just plug it in and press the 'on' button, and it does the rest.  Life just seems to be so full of button clicks nowadays, and anything which reduces them the better!!
