sansaclip+, 2 questions

a quick couple of questions about rockbox.

I am using an 8gb sansaclip+ with a 16gb microsdcard running 3.7 RB there is NO music on the internal 8gb flash memory, it is all on the 16gb card.

1) I played around customizing the QUICK SELECT to set a new option on the QUICK SELECT menu (up and down arrows). It seems as tho u can't set an actual EQ Preset as a QUICK SELECT option , only to being able to ' add as a shortcut' (what is a shortcut anyway, its not a QUICK SELECT so what is it?).
My only option to lowering the bass easily and quickly from the QUICK SELECT up and down arrows seemed to be to make it the actual Bass setting. Whilst this is fine in theory i can't;

a) get it to behave so the upward arrow makes the bass higher (stronger +db) and the downward arrow make the bass less (weaker -db). No matter how i config the bass in the QUICK SELECT menu it is always up arrow to make bass - and the down arrow to make the bass +. What am i doing wrong?

b) Get the bass changes to respond quicker than a 15-20sec delay/lag. I set the new bass level, exit the QUICK SELECT and back to the Now Playing screen and wait about 15+ secs for the change to occur. This is a little painful, as if i make it too much or little by the time I get it right about 60secs of the song has passed either distorted or too weak :S

2) I tried saving a playlist, all looked good, no errors etc. But when viewing the playlist catlog it's empty. Am i being nub? Or is it that due to my music being on the 16gb card and the playlist saved on the card instead of the flash memory the catlog is not seeing it? Any ideas what's going on?

2) I assume you are choosing Playlist > Save Current Playlist from the WPS context menu.  This will result in the playlist getting saved to the root of your player as "dynamic.m3u8" unless you change the path (so that the file gets saved to /Playlists/).  An easier way of getting the playlist into the Playlist Catalog is to choose Playlist Catalog >  Add to New Playlist from the WPS context menu.
