Progress Bar Not Moving and Album Art Disappearing on Sansa Fuze V2

There are some great skins for my Fuze, however, a majority of the skins do not load album art (instead showing a no art icon), and they also have a progress bar that doesn't... progress.

All my songs are tagged correctly (the ones that do have art), and they have the art JPEG in the album folder. I do not have the progress bar or art problem in some skins, however this is a rather irritating problem in most of the skins I have.

This problem occurred after I updated from r77xxxx to r78xxxx and then sequential builds. I would think this problem would be fixed in the stable release (3.7), but obviously not.

I cannot fix this problem myself, as I am not a coder. Can someone help?

That's a common problem as Rockbox loads and displays themes in a slightly different way now, meaning that the code of the theme itself needs an update. This can easily be achieved with a simple text editor, usually only one or two lines are missing. What's the name of the theme you are using?

Well it's several themes:
- ART Fuze 1.1
- UniCatherv32
- BeoBox

Or perhaps one of the original authors reads this post and decides to fix his theme(s) himself.

I reportet a similar problem with the great CabbieGT Theme in Sansa c200 (as well 3.7.1). Already not fixed.

Well it's several themes:
- ART Fuze 1.1
- UniCatherv32
- BeoBox

So I had a look at these themes and got UnicatcherV32 working:

Unfortunately the other themes are more problematic (and honestly, their code is quite messy… ) I didn't find any missing code, which means they could work in theory.

Art_fuze[1.1+], however, overlaps album art with an image of a jewel case; AFAIK this can't be done in a Rockbox theme.

The Beobox code is even more obscure to me and I think the internal logic needs a bit of rework. Contacting the author might be a good idea. (Open .rockbox/wps/Beobox.wps for his e-mail address…)

The problem with all these themes is that anyone can code their theme just the way they want to, which is a great thing because it doesn't put any stress on them, but if anyone tries to edit something in the themes because he/she prefers it like that, it's damn hard to find out what's where and whatnot.

There should be something like a standard template on making custom themes IMHO.

Well, CabbieGT Theme worked fine in 3.6. First since 3.7 /3.7.1 the progress bar disappeard and sometimes the album art is lacking...
