New to Rockbox and just a tad overwhelmed.

You can always just edit your previous post to add missing information, or thanks etc.

As far as messaging admins go, they aren't here all that often - a much better bet is a global mod. If you click on the staff link at the top of your page you can see the last time people were active - chose an active one (hint: me or soap normally) :)

Well, the quick menu works everywhere, that's what makes it so useful. ;D You have to press & hold Down (a.k.a. "Long Submenu" in Rockbox terms) to access it and you leave it by pressing the central button (a.k.a. "Select").

Thanks AlexP, so to be able to thank you for your advise as I'm doing here I have had to reply to Progweed and include my thanks to you in the same post, I can't post to you or any other member individually, to do that I have to wait for someone to reply??

Thanks for the Global and Administrator advise, I took a running shot at it under the staff tab, I wasn't sure, I'll know for a next time.  :)

Yes - in forums you aren't replying to the person per se, but to the thread in general.  You can of course quote people as you did to address them directly, and quoting multiple times in one post (as you did) is fine too.

another way to accomplish the same thing (playing all tracks shuffled) would be to organize your music files on the player to reside within a parent folder, such as 'mymusic' then put your 117 folders within that.    Then from the files, long-select the parent folder and select 'insert shuffled',  repeat for top level 'microSD1' if applicable.

if that isn't shuffled enough, from WPS you can always 'long select',  'playlist',  'reshuffle'

i don't know if that would jive with how you are getting your files on the device, or if it would work with the original firmware, I stopped using that the day I got my device and RB'd it.
