Now that I think about it, I think the Sansa firmware supports mp4, and maybe m4b as well. The Fuze model has a separate category for audiobooks too (which is new since the e200s). I'll have to check that... Thank you.

MP4/M4B is a container for many formats, not a single format. The fuze supports divx video with mp3 audio in MP4 IIRC, while these MP4 files are AAC audio.

So is it possible to change the file format from mb4 to mp3 or some other format that will work?

Yes. You can certainly transcode these files to another format. Speex might be a good choice if they are speech-only audiobooks.
