Can't Remove Old Albums From Rockbox

gotcha. yeah i'm assuming those old albums i don't want are in the F00 and so on subdirectories but i can't tell since they're named differently like abbreviated. but what i don't get is that it doesn't show up in the regular ipod menus but shows up in rockbox's menus those albums. is there a easy way to find what directories the old albums are stored in or should i just go thru the mp3s in the f00 folders to find them and then delete those folders they're in? would that screw up things on my ipod tho?

ok i just disk tidy and it said it cleaned 0 files. i clicked on windows option in the disktidy menu before that for files to clean. keep in mind i used the disktidy that i had already on my copy of rockbox. i have the latest version of the bootloader and rockbox itself and i did the complete installation originally with all the extras. so i'm assuming that it's not a older version of disktidy that may be the cause.

Okay.  It doesn't sound like the files are in any recycle or trash folder.  You can find out the path for the currently playing song by entering the context menu from the WPS, then selecting "Show Track Info".  You can also delete the track from the same context menu.

gotcha. i never tried the context menu before but when i pressed long play on the folder for the album i wanted to get rid of it had arrows on all four sides and i tried to get out of it. then when i got out of it and tried to enter it again all i can see in the context menu was a option for playlist. how do i get the context menu with the options for delete track and folder and so on? sorry for the noob question  ???

Chronon:
The screen that has arrows with options on four sides of the screen is called the Quick Screen.  How to access it and its functionality is described in section 5.13 of the manual.

You want to enter the Context Menu from the While Playing Screen.  The end of section 3.1 has information on how to enter the Context Menu.  (Long Select)
