fuze2 - intermittent attenuated out
« on: November 20, 2010, 12:20:02 PM »
First timer with about 2 weeks into RB on a Fuze 2. Kudos to the RB team for a kick ass project. Using Sansa OS is like listening with cotton in my ears compared to Rockbox.

Here's the deal. After running the player continuous for 8 hours (battery) I hear a pop/click with almost no right channel. Left channel out is attenuated by about -20dB (from normal) with the right channel popping/clicking in and out with volume change. This unit is 2 weeks old. First I pull the skin to check jack connection. Same results. Then I reboot into sansa os with plenty of power out and a solid right ch out. Reboot into RB and all is good again.

I can live with soft bugs but intermittent hardware on new gear is unsat and must be replaced. Anyone with similar issues out there?

update: shortly after posting this I turned off replay gain and the situation has not occurred again. Not conclusive but it's all I have.
