Database: how to hide folders and choose tracks
kumi-kata:
Hi there, I juzst got my sansa fuze V1 rockboxed and am trying to get to terms with it :P.
As it is for a newcomer I bumped into some problems and could´t find anything on the forum.
A short remark: I am not very versatile with software related stuff, just a plain user.
So I´m bound to go "Uh??" when it comes to technological terms.
So here´s my questions:
a) Can I get rid of the <all tracks> and <random> folder showing up in the database?
b) How can I jump to a different (later) track in the album menu?
Like: I got 10 tracks on the album, scroll down to track #5 and press play.
Whenever I try that the whole thing starts with track one.
c) Maybe wrong topic: how come that the database shows my albums in correct running order but when I change
to the files directory they are all in alpabetic order?
I´d be glad to get some advice.
Thanks very much,
Siggi

Alphabetical is the correct order for a file browser.
JdGordon:
a) no
b) menu > settings > playback > "play selected first" should default to yes but sounds like you've got it set to no
kumi-kata:
Ok, well thank you. I have to live with a) then, got b) sorted out and now know about c).
Thanks for the advice. One more thing I noticed:
Rockbox alway starts with its normal screen. The fuze always started where I left. What I mean is:
I listen to an album and stop at track 5. When I turn it on again I can immediately start from there.
How does that work with rockbox? Do I have to bookmark every time? Or is there a setting so it will
happen automatically?
Thanks very much,
Siggi
btw: Rockbox already gets thumbs up for gapless playback and increased volume. Those were things I really
missed... Gotta get to terms with the menu though. There´s so many options.
JdGordon:
Rtfm. Three is a setting to say where to start up. Also pressing play from the main menu will resume where you left off
